Light + Building

We can look back on a successful Light + Building: We were thrilled by the high level of interest, the positive feedback and the many visitors to our OBO trade fair stand. This year, Light + Building was able to inspire over 150,000 visitors.

We at OBO were not only able to present our innovative products and solutions for the industries of the future, but also our special-focus topics, such as sustainability and service. Of course, the accompanying programme was as varied as usual and countless stimulating discussions with customers and partners rounded off our trade fair presence.

Shorten the wait for the next Light + Building by looking back at the OBO highlights from this year. We look forward to returning in 2026!

Review of the highlights at our OBO 2024 trade fair stand

Commercial and residential construction: Safe electrical installations for every type of building

Whether a residential building, hotel, sports facility or shopping centre – OBO ensures safe electrical installations in every building type. The visitors to Light + Building could find out for themselves: We set up three different spaces for them to both discover and experience our solutions for a range of buildings. Our OBO products were integrated into the different installation environments of a modern office, an office in an existing building or a laboratory as realistically as possible. It was a real experience for our trade fair visitors!

Absolute functional reliability in data centres – OBO makes it possible!

Try to imagine our modern world without the Internet, without social media or without web-based services. Almost impossible, right? Along with this comes ever-increasing volumes of digital data, which is made possible by data centres, where this data is saved and processed. Visit our OBO stand to see for yourself how we provide solutions for data centres that ensure absolute functional security and reliability. Everything from a single source – from lightning and surge protection to cable routing and fire protection.

Designing the future together: We have shown you how OBO lives sustainability

Sustainability has always been second nature at OBO, and we have set ourselves a clear goal for the coming years: Together with our employees, customers and partners, we will continue to develop the globally networked world, setting the course towards more sustainability. At Light + Building, the visitors to our trade fair stand were able to see how far we have already come: On a dashboard, they could see the CO2 savings of our OBO PV system in real time, obtain an overview of our projects in the topics’ corner and also discover our first OBO Sustainability Report.

The accompanying programme: Competitions, presentations and a live tattoo!

A live tattoo at the OBO trade fair stand? Yes, you read that correctly. Perhaps you’ll recall Joachim Dancker, who we have already introduced you to on our social media channels. He survived a major electric shock and has covered some of the injuries he received with tattoos – including an OBO man on his calf. When our mascot was given his new look, Mr Dancker was sure that he needed a further tattoo with our new mascot. At Light + Building, he made his plan a reality – and all the visitors to our OBO trade fair stand could be there, live. This was surely the one item of our accompanying programme that got under everyone’s skin. However, competitions and expert presentations were also a part of this year’s events.

OBO DeltaPush: Product innovation and Speed Challenge

Whilst we’re on the subject of competitions: In our Speed Challenge, trade fair visitors could put their speed and skill to the test. When pitted against someone else, who is the faster in tackling the installation challenge using our new OBO DeltaPush push-in anchor?  With the OBO DeltaPush, we set standards in connection technology: It can be mounted simply and quickly and, at the same time, stands out through its high extraction values in various substrates. The DeltaPush allows flexible use in almost any installation situation and is supplemented by comprehensive accessories. With these properties, the push-in anchor fits into the wide-ranging OBO portfolio of connection and fastening systems in an ideal manner.
