RAUDUO combined heating and electrical skirting trunking

2 in 1: The risk-free refurbishment idea

The RAUDUO combined electrical and heating trunking is the perfect refurbishment idea for safe, standardised routing of electrical and heating cables in shared skirting trunking. A thermal buffer ensures functional, tested heat insulation. The RAUDUO electrical and heating trunking is available in the following colours: RAL 9001 cream white and RAL 9010 pure white.

Skirting trunking with tested quality

The RAUDUO trunking has been tested according to the VDE information test for its temperature behaviour (DIN VDE 0298 Part 4). The test report of the VDE proves that, even at high flow temperatures in the heating pipes, the temperatures in the installation areas for electrical cables remain below 30°C and thus that no problems occur under normal current loads. In addition, the temperature development at the connection terminals of the protective contact sockets in the device tank has been tested according to DIN VDE 0260, 4.4.1 and behaves in a non-critical manner. According to the VDE report, no adaptation of the cable system is necessary. Standard NYM cables are routed, meaning that no special solutions or special materials are required.

In addition, the combined electrical and heating trunking has been tested according to VDE DIN EN 50085-1 and VDE DIN EN 50085-2-1.

Routing heating pipes and electrical cables in skirting trunking

Thanks to the ingenious 2-in-1 solution, heating pipes and electrical cables are routed simply in a shared trunking base. The base perforation with slots in the trunking base also simplifies mounting.

The device tanks are installed at any point in the trunking according to a modular principle.

Trunking cover with sealing lip suitable for existing buildings

The trunking cover of the RAUDUO system is optionally available with a sealing lip suitable for existing buildings, which has a 6 mm lip width and tapered lip end. This allows an exact wall and floor connection. In addition, the sealing lip for existing buildings offers the following advantages:

  • The sealing lip for existing buildings has a flattened angle and is made of particularly flexible material. This creates an optimum fitting and flawless sealing.
  • Depth compensation of up to 5 mm is possible.
  • This prevents the ingress of dirt into the skirting trunking.

What needs to be observed when mounting the RAUDUO trunking?

The RAUDUO system comprises the following components

  • Trunking with trunking cover and trunking base
  • Internal corner
  • External corner
  • Cover coupling
  • Device support with integrated double socket
  • Device support, including panel, for the installation of central plate devices according to DIN 49075 with support clamp

Here, you can find some tips and information on mounting your RAUDUO combined electrical and heating trunking:

The heating pipes of the RAUDUO system are suitable for external diameters of up to 20 mm and are fastened using the heating pipe support, which is engaged in the base.

The trunking bases must be given mitre cuts to exclude heat being drawn from the heating chamber into the electrical chamber. Should difficult structural conditions occur, such as uneven walls, then any gap that appears in the chamber separation should be closed off with silicone.

Adhesion must take place for VDE-compliant mounting of the end pieces.

For which heating temperatures is the RAUDUO system designed?

According to the VDE information report, the RAUDUO system is designed for a flow temperature or 70 °C and a return temperature of 55 °C. With a flow temperature of up to 90 °C or a return temperature of up to 70 °C, the VDE report requires the device tank insulation to be replaced with 90 °C insulation foam, item no. 6132175.
